Kodoani.com – A new website was opened on Sunday to announce the 2024 television anime adaptation of the light novel series “Loner Life in Another World” (Hitoribotchi no Isekai Kōryaku) by author Shoji Goji. The website also revealed the anime’s introductory video, teaser images, and main cast.
Seven Seas has licensed the light novel series and plans to release the eighth volume in English on March 5. The company is releasing the light novel under its Airship imprint.
Seven Seas describes the story as follows:
When harsh loner Haruka is transported to another world with his class, he’s not into adventure, but he also doesn’t mind cool spells of his own. Unfortunately, the magical power that comes first comes first served, and Haruka, in turn, has no other good options left. Now he will have to take on this fantasy world the hard way, with a plethora of bizarre skills… and with all the girls in class chasing after him!
The anime’s main cast includes:
Shūichirō Umeda voices Haruka, the only person in the class who did not receive a “cheat skill” from God during the class’s surprise summoning to another world. He is determined to enjoy a “solitary” life in another world by using what skills he has left.
Shūichirō Umeda shared about his role:
“I’m Shūichirō Umeda and I’ll be playing the role of Haruka in “Lonely Life in Another World”. Nice to meet you! Regarding Haruka’s first impression, the way he talks and tells stories is very unique and interesting. flavor and somehow brings a feeling of both newness and nostalgia. Maybe he doesn’t have that intention, but after meeting him once, you won’t be able to forget this main character. Haruka came up with various strategies, endeavor and enjoy the conquest of another world. I am facing the scenario with the same feelings as Haruka. I will do my best to bring enjoyment to even the fans main work and those who experienced it for the first time through the anime! Please look forward to it!”
Goji, the author of the light novel, shared his opinion on the anime announcement:
“I know you probably don’t know what I’m talking about, but without any intention of writing a novel or even thinking about it, I impulsively posted to “Narou” in the late hours of the night. To my surprise, it was adapted into a book, adapted into a manga and now it became an anime. Yes, it was just a crazy moment, and I wrote the joke on a whim, just so that the story gradually grew bigger . I was torn between whether to be happy about it or completely shocked. Before I knew it, now it was being adapted into an anime. I put all the blame on everyone for this and I’m sorry. Thanh wanted to express his gratitude. Thank you very much.”
Light novel illustrator Saku Enomaru and manga adaptation author Bibi also provided comments and illustrations to celebrate the announcement:
Saku Enomaru: “Congratulations on the anime adaptation! I’m really looking forward to seeing how the adventures of Haruka and the others are portrayed through their unique expressions in the anime. Please continue to support both novels and comics.”
Bibi: “To all the fans of “Loner Life in Another World”, congratulations on the anime adaptation of the series. As the person responsible for adapting the manga, this is truly a dream come true. come true. The possibility of introducing the work to more people… just thinking about it makes me excited! There may be scenes I can’t present in the manga or newly added scenes, so I’m super excited about it. I’ll be watching with a whole new perspective as a fan!”
