Live action “special” comes out after the release of episode 23 on July 4
Kodoani.com – Shueisha announced on Thursday that since the release of volume 23 of the manga Jujutsu Kaisen by Gege Akutami on July 4, the manga will have 80 million copies in circulation. This figure includes both print and online copies, and not all copies have been sold.
To celebrate this milestone, the manga will feature a live-action “special video” that will premiere on MBS and TBS on Friday, July 5 in a promo for the airing of the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 anime movie. A full-length version of the live-action video will also debut on the main Jujutsu Kaisen Twitter account and the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine’s YouTube channel.

Akutami launched the manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in March 2018.
The Jujutsu Kaisen anime premiered in October 2020 and has 24 episodes. The anime will get a second part in 2023. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 opens in Japan in December 2021. Anime movie based on the manga Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Tokyo Toritsu Jujutsu Kōtō Senmon Gakkō (Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School) is the prequel story of the original.
The TV anime will have a second season that will premiere on July 6.
