Lollipop Chainsaw is a hack-and-slash game first released in June 2012 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game is developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and published by Kadokawa Games and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. This is the product of cooperation between Goichi Suda (Suda51), a famous game developer, and James Gunna famous filmmaker.
In May 2022, Kadokawa Games divested part of its business to the new company Dragami Gameswas founded by Yoshimi Yasuda and Satoshi Fuyuno. Dragami Games later acquired the IP of Lollipop Chainsaw from Kadokawa Games and began development RePOP.
Yoshimi Yasuda used the X platform (Twitter) to announce the return of Lollipop Chainsaw and update information about RePOP. Yasuda shared details about the IP acquisition, the partnership with Warner Bros., and Dragami Games' efforts to bring the game back to fans.
