Kodoani.com – This year’s November issue of Shonengahosha’s Young King Ours magazine published a spinoff of the manga on Friday. Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer (Hoshi no Samidare) is titled “Sono Ato no Hero” (The Hero Afterwards). Ichiri Seto wrote the 37-page spin-off, and Mizukami oversaw the work.
The side story follows Shinonome Mikazuki after a climactic battle. While training, Mikazuki meets a boy who wants to join a gang and who doesn’t believe there are heroes in real life.
The manga inspired an anime that premiered on July 8 on MBS and TBS’s “Animeism” channel.
Nobuaki Nakanishi (Koihime Musō, Mahōjin Guru Guru, Kasimasi – Girl Meets Girl) is directing the anime. Original author Mizukami is credited with creating the series, along with Yūichirō Momose. NAZ is editing the animation in collaboration with Jumondo . Hajime Hatakeyama (animation director for No Guns Life, Sing “Yesterday” for Me) is designing the characters, and Takatsugu Wakabayashi (Majin Bone , PriPri Chii-chan !! ) is composing the music. The other staff includes Minoru Okochi as art director, Ryūsuke Araki as color designer, Toshikazu Kuno as visual director, and Yuichi Imaizumi as sound director at Sonilude. Rina Koguchi is in charge of editing and Yasuyuki Konno is in charge of sound effects.
Mizukami previously indicated that the anime will include the entire manga “until the end.”
Mizukami (Spirit Circle, Planet With) launched the manga in Shonengahosha’s Young King Ours magazine in April 2005, and ended it in 2010.
