Furthermore, the Straw Hat captain used many strange attacks on Kaido in the anime, giving him a larger arsenal than in the manga. Chewing gum-Gum clay curling
After Gear 5 Luffy is launched into the sky; he successfully caught a bolt of lightning and threw it towards Kaido. While that attack appeared in chapter #1047 of the manga, the anime took that idea and expanded on it in the flashiest way possible. Many of the lightning bolts are rubberized, allowing Luffy to grab and bounce between them to perform a high-speed combo attack against the Captain of the Beast Pirates. Concentration of attacks focuses energy on a single point on the target, creating an additional explosive lightning strike.
In fact, the anime’s production team took Eiichiro Oda’s idea of controlling Gear 5’s light up a few notches during the climactic battle. Throwing lightning bolts at Kaido proved damaging, and later in battle, Luffy found a way to use light to help increase his attack and mobility like never before. After a powerful blow sent the Straw Hat Captain flying into the sky, he used his powers on a storm cloud and drew in all the light he wanted to cover the battlefield. The beautiful white rubber lightning bolts allow Luffy to quickly pop up, grab and attack Kaido from many angles, though that still isn’t enough to stop Yonko from unleashing devastating attacks.
Gear 5 punch ball form
Kaido’s frustration continued to grow as his attacks became more and more ferocious against Gear 5 Luffy. He seemed determined to end the fight as he charged towards Luffy with the Kundali Dragon Swarm attack, causing his giant metal staff to be fractured by Haki. Gear 5 took several hits from the attack but decided to counter it with his own fierce Gatling gun-like punches. However, the anime saw Luffy transformed into a ball-like form with powerful punches fired from all directions.
Few of Luffy’s Gear 5 attacks have a miniature form as effective as this punch. The shape of the ball is silly, unpredictable and deadly. Kaido made a point during the battle when he mentioned that Luffy’s new transformation uses both Conquest Haki and Armament Haki in each of its attacks. Knowing about each of the hundreds of punches makes the moves scary but fun to watch.
Counter attack gum
Awakened Devil Fruit users have been shown to have the ability to influence the world around them with their special powers. After Luffy awakens his Gum-Gum Fruit, he easily rubberizes everything he touches, giving him the ability to create what he calls “interesting attacks.” While the manga saw Luffy use this ability to jump around the battlefield, he used it offensively in episode #1072 of the anime. After Kaido’s attack hit the ground sending him and the Straw Hat Captain flying into the air, Luffy grabbed the giant rubber land and threw it back at Kaido like a tidal wave of rocks, creating an epic attack. Other girdles only exist in anime.
Light speed bouncing attack
Luffy’s Awakened Devil Fruit power allows for many creative attacks, but it also greatly increases his mobility thanks to the way it affects everything he touches. The anime includes many high-speed moments from Luffy’s Gear 5 form. At one point, he threw Kaido across the battlefield, then immediately appeared behind him, continuously unleashing powerful blows and incredible combos. Luffy also replicated Admiral Kizaru’s light speed attacks, bouncing off his Gum-Gum counterattack to deliver a decisive attack that sent Kaido flying. That was one of the times Gear 5 Luffy showed off his power.
Gear 5 of One Piece is animated
Apparently the One Piece anime introduced some neat attacks never before seen in the manga, all of which demonstrate why Gear 5 is so powerful. Beyond that, however, the adaptation helps convey how this form works and how brutal its attacks are in ways that the manga couldn’t, simply because of limitations. its internal mechanism. Luffy’s latest form is amazing to look at in the manga, but this medium cannot convey the colorful auras and sound effects that make this state more exciting in the anime.
