Kodoani.com – Made in Abyss fans can rejoice when Kadokawa announced today that the second season, dubbed “The Golden City of the Scorching Sun,” will feature an anime sequel – albeit It’s yet to be confirmed whether the anime will hit theaters or air, nor when it will be released. A teaser trailer for the sequel to the manga adaptation of Akihito Tsukushi has been released on Kadokawa’s anime YouTube channel.
Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun follows the critically acclaimed first season directed by Masayuki Kojima at Kinema Citrus studio, with series composition by Hideyuki Kurata, character designs by Kazuhicka Kise and music by Kevin Penkin. The series aired from July 6, 2022 to September 28, 2022.
Riko, Reg and Nanachi have no way back, and the only way forward is to go to the end of the Abyss. However, the three friends are not the first to step into the unknown. What happened to all the other adventurers who bravely crossed the Abyss?
