The 12th and final episode of the first season aired on Tuesdays.
The anime premiered on Tokyo MX, BS11, and other networks on January 9.
Ryuichi Kimura directed the film at BN Pictures. Keiichirō Ōchi is composing the series. Shiori Fujisawa is designing the characters. John Kanda and XELIK composed the music. ARCANA PROJECT performed the opening theme song “Koigoromo” and TRUE performed the ending theme song “rebind”.
The story is about Tsukumogami, spirits or “marebito” that can possess objects of considerable age and have physical form. Although he is part of the Saenome clan responsible for bringing them back to their world peacefully, Hyouma Kunato despises them for someone who took away what was so precious to him. To relieve the situation, Hyouma’s grandfather sends him to live with Botan Nagatsuki, a girl who is the owner of six “friendly” tsukumogami and lives with them as a family.
Onigunsō launched the manga in Shueisha’s Miracle Jump magazine in April 2014, and the manga moved to Ultra Jump in January 2016. The manga is also serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website.
