This essay is not a manga but a book about Hiroyuki’s life and experiences. It’s about a manga artist who created four anime works but then became addicted to wristwatches and owed 50 million yen (about $338,300 at current exchange rates). Currently, this book is on sale on Amazon Japan for 990 yen (about 6.7 USD) and has a total of 192 pages.
Hiroyuki has been a professional manga artist since 2004 and has created many famous works. Four of the author’s works have been adapted into anime, including “Doujin Work” (2007), “The Comic Artist and His Assistants” (2014), “AHO-GIRL” (2017), and “Girlfriend, Girlfriend”. (2021, 2023). His latest work is “Girlfriend, Girlfriend,” and the second season of the television anime is slated to premiere on October 6, 2023.
In this book, Hiroyuki created a story about how he became addicted to luxury wristwatches such as Omega, Rolex, A. Lange & Söhne and eventually had to borrow a sum of 50 million yen. On the cover of the book, there is a picture of a girl who resembles Rika Hoshizaki from “Girlfriend, Girlfriend,” but he has confirmed that the girl is not related to the character Rika Hoshizaki. At the same time, he also drew several manga to accompany this book.
