The official Twitter account of Tsuruhime-ja, by manga creator Yoshiko Tsuchida, announced on Saturday that Tsuchida passed away on Friday at the age of 75.

She began her career as an assistant to famous author Fujio Akatsuka, who created works such as “Himitsu no Akko-chan” and “Osomatsu-kun”. Then, in 1968, Yoshiko Tsuchida debuted as a manga author.

One of Yoshiko Tsuchida’s most famous works is the shōjo manga titled “Tsuruhime-ja!” was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Margaret magazine from 1973 to 1979. The manga was later adapted into a 49-episode anime television series, which debuted in 1990.
