The anime “Gamera -Rebirth-” debuted globally on Netflix on September 7. The anime series consists of six episodes and focuses on Gamera’s fight against five kaiju (giant monsters).
Gamera, a giant fire-breathing turtle monster, first appeared in Daiei’s 1965 film “Daikaijū Gamera” (Gamera the Giant Monster). It is known that Daiei intended this Gamera movie to compete with TOHO’s famous Godzilla movie about giant monsters. “Camera -Rebirth-” is an exciting return for Gamera fans after a long time since the 2006 movie “Chiisaki Yūsha-tachi” (Gamera the Brave).
