Kodoani.com – Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine recently announced that the manga Hikaru no Go by Takeshi Obata and Yumi Hotta will be transformed into a lively stage play, which will take place in Ikebukuro in July, titled ” Uta Emaki “Hikaru no Go” Jyo no Itte (Song Picture Scroll “Hikaru no Go” “: The First Move)”.
The set of directors and actors has been determined:
Yōjirō Itokawa will take on the role of Hikaru Shindō. Kōji Kominami will play Fujiwara-no-Sai. Tomoru Akazawa will play Akira Toya. Akio Hirose will play the role of Koyo Toya. Teru Ikuta will portray the character Akari Fujisaki.
Nobuhiro Mōri will serve as director, screenwriter, and music composer. Shinnosuke Motoyama will be responsible for choreography and arrangement. Musician Shunsuke Wada will compose the music, while Mitsuhiro Akiyama will be responsible for the art.
The play will run at the Sunshine Theater from July 5 to 14.
