Bunny Drop’s High School Choir Story has 5-minute episodes to premiere on October 17
Kodoani.com – NTV announced on Tuesday that the manga growing from susume (Proceed With Crescendo) by Yumi Unita is getting a short live-action adaptation that will premiere in the NTV ZIP round! news program on the morning of October 17 at 7:53 am. The series will air a new 5-minute episode every weekday.
The series is set at a high school in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture. The story revolves around Kashi, a third-year high school student on the STEM track who is about to take the college entrance exam. Kashi loses a game of rock-paper-scissors and is forced to join the school choir competition. At the same time, the member of the Fujita choir also vowed to win the upcoming competition. The story deals with tests, graduation, love, anxiety and all that high school students go through.
The film’s cast includes Kanata Hosoda, Natsuki Deguchi, Rintarō Mizusawa, Karen Fujii, Noritaka Hamao, and Ryūta Kuwayama.
Tōya Satō and Noriyoshi Sakuma are directing the film, with a script by Yōsuke Masaike. Hinemos is composing music.
Unita launched the manga in Hakusensha’s Rakuen (Le Paradis) magazine in December 2019 and ended it in June 2020. Hakusensha published a compiled book volume in July 2020.
Unita’s original manga Bunny Drop began serialization in Shodensha’s Feel Young magazine in 2005 and ended in April 2011. A television anime adaptation aired in Japan from July to September. 2011, and a live-action film version in Japan in December 2011.
