Kodoani.com – The television anime adaptation of Shō Harusono’s Sasaki and Miyano manga ended Monday with the announcement of a new anime. The project’s official website and social media accounts will announce more details later.
Yen Press licensed the manga and describes the story:
It all starts off like a typical boy’s love story with a crush on the evil class president senpai meeting a lovable clumsy underclassman, one of them falling in love, and so on and so forth. But even though Miyano is a love expert on the boy love genre, he still hasn’t fully realized… he himself is in love. That means it’s up to Sasaki to make sure their story has a happy forever…!
The television anime’s voice cast all reprized their roles from the manga’s previous TV series CDs, and include:
Yusuke Shirai voices Shūmei Sasaki Sōma Saitō voices Yoshikazu Miyano Yoshitsugu Matsuoka voices Taiga Hirano Yūki Ono voices Jirō Ogasawara Yūma Uchida voices Masato Hanzawa Ryohei Arai voices Tasuku Kuresawa Mitsuhiro Ichiki voices Gonsaburō Tashiro
Shinji Ishihira (Fairy Tail, Log Horizon, Talentless Nana) is directing the television anime at Studio DEEN with Takahiro Ueno as assistant director. Yoshiko Nakamura (Super Lovers, Shōnen Maid, Tada Never Falls in Love) is in charge of series scripts. Maki Fujii assigns the characters.
The television anime premiered on Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, and Sun TV on January 9, on BS NTV on January 10, and on AT-X on January 11.
Harusono launched the manga on the pixiv website in 2016. Kadokawa published the manga’s seventh volume in November 2020.
Kotoko Hachijō penned an adaptation of the novel to be released in March 2020. Hirano to Kagiura’s spin-off manga about two supporting characters premiered in 2019 and published in Kadokawa in Monthly Comic Gene. That spinoff manga has in turn adapted its own novel. The ninth manga volume will be released on July 22 along with the original anime volume “Koi ni Kizuku Mae no Chotto Shita Hanashi.” as drafted by Harusono.
