Design agency Kazumi Kazui’s live-action romance series premieres September 16
MBS announced on Monday that the company will release a live-action manga adaptation of the live-action Dōse Mō Nigerarenai (Not Like I Can Run Away) manga adaptation that will premiere on the 16th. features stars who will be playing the main characters Jin Shirasu and Mayu Yokota playing the main characters Takumi Sakisaka and Naho Nodakuchi.
Yō Kawahara is directing the series, and is also writing the script with Yuna Suzuki. The series will premiere on MBS and TV Kannagawa on September 16; on Chiba TV on September 17; and on TV Saitama, Tochigi TV and Gunma TV on September 23.
The manga revolves around a design company and the relationship that begins between the company’s president and a part-time employee. Takumi Sakisaka, the company’s president, maintains the image of a carefree playboy, but an award-winning designer. Naho Nodakuchi is an ordinary, dressed woman who works part-time at the company.
Kazui launched the manga in Shogakukan’s Petit Comic magazine in July 2011, and ended it in July 2015. Shogakukan published 10 compiled book volumes for the manga.
Kazui drew a manga adaptation of Kyoichi Katayama’s novel Socrates in Love in 2004. Viz Media published both the novel and the manga in English in 2005.
Komiyuno drew Demashita! PowerPuff Girls Z manga series from 2006 to 2007, adapted the anime of the same name, and also drew Hime-chan no Ribon Colorful, a remake of Megumi Mizusawa’s classic Hime-chan’s Ribbon Hime-chan no Ribon) manga. .
