Kodoanic.com – Manga UP! of Square Enix has officially opened the manga publishing journey “The Crafty Mage: Frontier Settling Made Easy (Seisan Mahōshi no Rakuraku Henkyō Kaitaku: Saikyō no Ajin-tachi to White Kokka o Kizukimasu!) by Hajime Naehara, Sunin and Ramuya in English, starting this past Sunday.

The story of Joshua, an overworked production magician receiving an underpaid salary from the prestigious organization Schwarz Knight. When the erratic commander fires Joshua from his toxic job, he sets out on a journey to find a new target. The manga launched in February 2022, and Square Enix released the second volume on February 10, promising the third volume will arrive on December 12. Based on the novel by Hajime Naehara, first introduced first on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in October 2020, with the last update on February 10. A print copy of the novel’s second volume was released by Kadokawa in March 2022.

The manga ended its fourth volume in April 2022 after being featured on the Manga UP! and the Gangan Online website since 2019. Yen Press launched the English version in March 2021, with the fourth and final volume released on July 18.

Summary: In the context of political intrigue, maintaining peace is not easy. An unlikely hero must uncover corruption in the story of Tsume Ono (House of Five Leaves, Ristorante Paradiso)!
The main manga ended in October 2016, and Yen Press began publishing the English version in November 2017. Ono then introduced the spin-off manga ACCA 13-Ku Kansatsu-Ka PS in December 2016 , and Yen Press launched an English version in August 2020.
The manga also had an anime television adaptation that premiered in January 2017, with Funimation streaming an English dub as it aired in Japan.
