Nintendo released a new trailer for Mario Strikers: Battle League, confirming the characters, free DLC content, and a roadmap for future updates.

A new trailer for Mario Strikers: Battle League has finally surfaced and confirms that Nintendo has bigger plans ahead for the game. The first free update will launch on July 21 and adds a bunch of new content including characters like Princess Daisy and Shy Guy. Daisy is a highly technical character who won’t be taken down easily, while Shy Guy is positioned as a strong character, with the ability to choose equipment being a key factor.
Also, the first update includes the new Knight Gear which adds +2 Strength, +1 Shooting and Passing, but removes 2 points in Speed and Technique. Finally, players can play on the new Desert Ruin stadium for quick matches or set it as a Club stadium. Better yet, it comes in three variants that can be unlocked with in-game currency. While no information has been provided, it’s reasonable to assume that updates 2 and 3 will also feature two new characters, along with a new set of equipment and stadiums.
Along with the trailer, Nintendo also released a plan for the game, giving fans a preview of two additional updates coming before the end of the year.
While the new stream of content will please fans who are asking for new characters, the question remains as to whether anything else is planned after 2022.
