The upcoming anime Tying the Knot With an Amagami Sister revealed its teaser trailer on Thursday along with the main cast. Ryota Suzuki plays Uryu Kamihate in the film while the three sisters Amagami, Yae, Yuna and Asahi will be voiced by Sumire Uesaka, Kaede Hondo and Shion Wakayama respectively. The anime is expected to premiere this year.
Yujiro Abe (Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!) is directing the anime at studio Drive (To Your Eternity Season 2) with Hiroshi Watanabe (Meganebu!) as assistant director. Yasuko Aoki (My Tiny Senpai) is writing the series while Haruka Iizuka (Sugar Apple Fairy Tale) is designing the characters.
The anime adaptation of Tieing the Knot With an Amagami Sister (Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi) is based on the manga by Marcey Naito, who previously worked as an assistant to Negi Haruba (The Quintessential Quintuplets). The manga began serialization in April 2021 in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine, and Kodansha USA is publishing the series in English. They describe the story as follows: Uryu Kamihate had a difficult start in life, but plans to forget it all by achieving his dream—getting accepted into medical school. But when he arrived at his new foster home, a working temple, his dreams of a quiet place to study were dashed. Not only does he live with the three beautiful, bubbly Amagami sisters, but he also learns that he must marry one of them and take over the temple!
