New data reveals that Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is Sony’s second biggest hit game launch on the Steam platform.
According to SteamDB, Marvel’s Spider-Man has the highest number of concurrent players at 66,436.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered officially launches on PC on August 12, 2022. The game includes a remake of Marvel’s Spider-Man along with The City That Never Sleeps DLC that was released post-launch. Oddly, this remake only launched as part of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition on PS5.
Similar to the original game from 2018, the PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered launched to rave reviews. The PC port doesn’t seem to have had any major problems. Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered has extremely positive ratings on Steam, with many gamers discussing that the game has a high-quality port. New data now shows that Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is Sony’s second-biggest launch on the PC platform in terms of total concurrent players.
According to SteamDB, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered has the highest concurrent player count at 66,436. That’s not as much as the PC version of God of War, which peaked at 73,529 users at launch, but Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered still outperformed other Sony releases on Steam. Horizon Zero Dawn achieved a concurrent player count of 56,557, while Days Gone had a much lower peak of 27,450 concurrent users. This means that Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is Sony’s second major launch on Steam.
PC gamers have even more Sony games to look forward to in the near future
At the moment there are 32,255 users playing Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on Steam and it will be interesting to see if the peak player count changes in the coming days. Typically, single-player games will reach their peak concurrent players at or near launch. So it’s unlikely that Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered will exceed 66,436 concurrent players on Steam after aggregating sales and other promotions.
Gamers should also note that Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is also slated to launch on PC in the fall of 2022. It builds on the gameplay blueprint introduced in Marvel’s Spider-Man and for giving players access to a number of new powers and abilities.
PC gamers have even more Sony games to look forward to in the near future. The Last of Us Part 1 is scheduled to release on PC after the PS5 version launches in September. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy are also set to launch on PC as part of the bundle. remake game called Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. One rumor is that Uncharted games will launch on PC on October 19, but Sony has yet to reveal an official release date for the collection.
