Megaton Musashi Season 2 delays the last 2 episodes due to COVID-19

Previously, the anime production team postponed episode 18 from November 4 to November 18 to improve the quality of the episode. The postponement of episode 18 also affected the production schedule of episode 19. Episode 19 of the anime was postponed to December 2. The staff then delayed the final five episodes to February or later.

The project includes an anime, a game, a collaboration with Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, a toy by Bandai, and an anime spin-off titled “After School”. Level 5 announced the project in 2016, originally slated to start summer 2017.

The story takes place after 90% of humanity was wiped out due to an invasion. The survivors live in a shelter where their lives are monitored and memories of the invasion are erased. Three teenagers from the shelter are chosen to control three machines that combine to form the robot Musashi, which is made of a material called Megatronium alloy. The series balances robot action with school life.

Each different medium—game, cartoon, or other—tells the story from the point of view of a different set of characters.
