Summarize
In the previous chapter of Mercenary Enrollment, 003, Alice and Jacal came up with a plan to break into the hotel where the SW President was staying and kidnap him. They only want the SW President but since Ijin is one of the bodyguards, of course a clash between him and his former teammate 003 is basically inevitable.
003, who also goes by the name Quinn, recruited Alice, who was said to be an excellent marksman, and Jacal, whom she wanted to make a pawn. Essentially, they release a toxic gas through the hotel’s vents to knock everyone unconscious, so their kidnapping can go smoothly.
Well, Ijin actually noticed when the gas escaped and asked the Director and Chairman to be careful and cover their noses to stay awake. The two teams entered the hotel to carry out their plan but because Ijin was awake, he started shooting at them. He takes advantage of his enemies’ confusion and takes them down effectively.
He removed their gas masks and gave one to the Director and Chairman before putting one on himself. Of course, he hadn’t destroyed the entire team yet and there were many members who were still conscious and looking for targets with guns ready in their hands.
Ijin also took them out, and the Chairman was really surprised. The director said he wanted to be first, but Ijin refused quite firmly. He tells the Director that he doesn’t have the ability to protect one-on-one so the Director should just focus on protecting the Chairman while he takes the lead, clearing the way.
After they had successfully destroyed the enemy force, Ijin checked on the other SW guards and found that they were all still breathing and only unconscious. Ijin leads the two out the back door of the hotel and Jacal is upset when he realizes the two teams have been destroyed and failed in their mission.
