Existing game downloads will no longer be available to play from February 1
Kodoani.com – Platinum Games’ website announced on Friday that they will be removing the mobile game World of Demons from Apple Arcade on January 18. Current downloads of the game will no longer be available to play starting February 1.
The game launches for iOS and Android in April 2021. The website describes the game’s story:
World of Demons takes place in an era of medieval Japan, where Oni (demons) have dominated the human world. The previously docile Yokai (monsters of Japanese folklore) were corrupted by the Oni and began attacking humans. Only brave Samurai dare to stand up to the Oni’s threat…
The game allows players to use many types of samurai characters. Players can also summon up to three Yokai to aid them in battle. The game’s touch-based input system allows players to use gestures to attack, dodge, and other actions. Samurai characters can be upgraded with different weapons and skills, and players can also collect Yokai.
The game features a single-player campaign, a competitive Yokai Showdown mode, and a cooperative Samurai Stronghold mode.
