Two upcoming anime films, Kuramerukagari and Kurayukaba, have revealed the names and singers of their theme songs. Famous anisong musician and singer Masayoshi Oishi was responsible for writing, composing and producing “Bokura no Hakoniwa”, the theme song of Kuramerukagari. Charan Po Rantan, a sister group famous for producing the theme song for the 2016 drama We Married As A Job, will be in charge of Kurayukaba’s theme song “Naisho no Uta.”

- Yuuki Sakakihara (Polka Shinoyama from Death Mount Death Play) role YuyaThe boy likes the main character Kagari and makes a living selling maps.
- Takao Ootsuka (Aqua from Oshi no Ko) like Jesusa young man who works at a rental bookstore while also working as an information broker.
- Yoshimasa Hosoya (Reiner from Attack on Titan) as Eiwa-jimaenforcer and face of Komainu Yuryo Shokai, a prestigious store in a coal mining town that resembles a miniature garden.
- Nanako Mori (Cagalli trong filmGundam SEED FREEDOM) Chinaan investigator from a special agency follows the events in the film.
- Aoi Yuuki (Maomao from Apothecary’s Diary) as Ameya, an informant with whom Shiina has a close relationship. She takes the form of an amezaiku (a traditional Japanese candy) seller.

The film won the Audience Award for Best Animated Feature Film at the 2023 Fantasia International Film Festival. The film is set in Japan’s Taisho period and follows a detective named Satorou as he unravels the mystery of a series of disappearances, but finds himself entering an underground world called “Kuragali”.
Kuramerukagari is a film based on the spin-off of Kurayukaba written by Ryohgo Narita (Baccano!). The film was also directed by Shigeyoshi Tsukahara. Kuramerukagari is set in a coal mining town called “Hakoniwa” and it tells the story of Kagari, a young girl who owns a map shop. She documents the town as her daily life unfolds.
Kuramerukagari and Kurayukaba were first announced in December 2023 along with the film’s new trailer. The trailers of both films can be streamed on Twin Engine’s official YouTube Channel. Both films are expected to be released simultaneously in Japan on April 12, 2024.
