Kodoani.com – The fourth anime movie in the My Hero Academia series titled “My Hero Academia the Movie: You’re Next” and will premiere on August 2 in Japan. In the film, Tensai Okamura serves as director at BONES, with the creative team from the long-running anime series and previous films returning. At the same time, manga author Kōhei Horikoshi will serve as general supervisor and original character designer.
The film will have a story that takes place at the same time as the current television anime, in a collapsed post-war society, with the appearance of a mysterious giant fortress and a man resembling “Icon peace.”
Previously, My Hero Academia had three movies: “My Hero Academia: Two Heroes” (2018), “My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising” (2019) and “My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: World Heroes’ Mission” (2021 ), which all three achieved great success.
The seventh season of the long-running anime My Hero Academia will begin on April 6 with the four-episode “My Hero Academia Memories” special. The new anime season will officially premiere on May 4. The sixth season of the anime premiered in October 2022, airing for two consecutive seasons with a total of 25 episodes.
