Since being introduced in My Hero Academia, All For One exuded an atmosphere of invincibility. With his uncountable number of Quirks and his unwavering self-assurance, it’s hard to imagine the extent of the villainous mastermind’s terror. However, thanks to the Hawks’ keen observation – and the gift the Hero Killer brought with him from Tartarus – the Pro-Heroes eventually identified All For One’s elusive weakness. Though the sinister villain still has plenty of power left, he’s long past his healthiest days.
Perhaps his old age, or the sheer weight of Quirks he accumulated, made it impossible for him to survive without a literal lifeline. He was always believed to be attached to a life support machine, and the Hawks found him trying to make sure the medical equipment remained attached to him during the escape from Tartarus. This strange behavior, and the relative inactivity of All For Oneleading the Hawks to deduce that he can only survive on life support.
Since Hawks was never seen without his bulky headgear, the heroes further guessed that the necessary All For One life-saving equipment was already built into his own helmet. This realization can make their task quite simple – if the helmet has not yet shown some resistance statistics. All For One wore it all through his and All Might’s slugfest at Kamino, and it only broke after receiving the strongest One For All punch ever shown in the MHA. Taking off the mask will not be as easy as imagined.
All For One itself also has the added danger. Surrounding him in an attempt to unmask could easily turn into a Quirks buffet for him, so he’s paired with “the maximum amount of power in the smallest possible group.” The team of two top heroes, Endeavor and the Hawks will exclusively handle All For One – and remove his mask by any means necessary. It’s a mission they seem to have accomplished, until All For One begins its psychological warfare.
Unfortunately for Endeavor, All For One Knowing the exact object would make him nervous. He berated Endeavour for letting Shoto face Dabi instead of Endeavour during their fight, and eventually succeeded in distracting Endeavour when he talked about the night Dabi was burned. All For One reveals that he was the one who saved Dabi from the flames, briefly stunning Endeavor. Although the fight with All For One doesn’t get off to a good start, all hopes can be fraught with difficulties.
Just as the villain begins to intensify his attack with the intention of finishing off the Hawks once and for all, Kyoka Jiro appears hovering atop Tokoyami Fumikage, her 1-A classmate. Using her Heartbeat Wall, she canceled All For One’s impulse attack and saved the Hawks for the moment. Jiro and Tokoyami look ready to face the main antagonist of My Hero Academia, and who knows – maybe Jiro’s sonic attacks will be just what they need to break All’s mask. For One.
