Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced a brand new My Hero Academia one shot by Yoko Akiyama, the writer of the My Heroine Academia spin-off series.
My Hero Academia is a popular manga with a huge fan following, and Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has given those fans a new reason to get excited – a brand new one shot of My Hero Academia. Hero Academia will be published in the magazine on August 2.
As reported by Anime News Network, manga artist Yoko Akiyama – who is an assistant to My Hero Academia creator Kohei Horikoshi – will be writing a new spin-off for the series. Akiyama has created side stories and a scene for the series before, has written the scripts for Everyone Is Someone’s Hero, and My Heroine Academy. According to initial reports, the one-shot will be 17 pages long and titled “Boku No Hero Academia Tokubetsu Spinoff: Endeavor’s Mission.”
The trailers suggest that the story will feature Flame Hero Endeavor fighting against his students Deku and Bakugo, as well as his son Todoroki. A shot would be a tribute to the fifth season of the My Hero Academia anime, which is currently supplementing the “Interns at Endeavor’s Agency” section of the manga. The story features Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki learning to become heroes under the guidance of current Hero No.
The same issue of Weekly Shonen Jump will also feature a new shot of Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu, the creators of The Promised Neverland. The one-shot will be a 49-page sci-fi action story and will include a coloring page in between. It will be titled “DC3.”
