My Hero Academia: Ranking the ten most muscular male characters in the work

My Hero Academia excellently stylizes the characters in a way that clearly shows their themes and fighting styles.

The muscular characters are especially evident, with bulging limbs and massive breasts that make them “giant” compared to their peers.

The anime’s most athletic characters are all male, many of whom have bodies unusually enhanced by incredible Quirks (aka Quirks).

Even a glance reveals how powerful they are and why they are so popular in their community.

While the piece does not directly equate muscle with physical strength, it is a general indication of how powerful and formidable a person is.

Hound Dog is a tough Hero

Hound Dog is a tough Hero

Hound Dog is a Hero known for his aggressive and aggressive attitude towards criminals. Such intense emotions are believably expressed by his formidable stature and muscularity.

Far superior to many of his peers, Hound Dog possesses broad arms and shoulders that show how his Quirk has enhanced his physical strength along with his other senses.

Wearing a muzzle and having fangs suggests that he also used his incredible biting power to match his already fierce muscles.

Endeavor’s physique is worthy of an Olympic athlete

Endeavor's physique is worthy of an Olympic athlete

Technically, Endeavor isn’t a Hero based on strength, but his muscles are impressive. His broad shoulders and well-proportioned body give him the figure of an Olympic athlete, worthy of being called the Symbol of Peace.

Although he relies heavily on his flame, Endeavor’s size contributes significantly to his success in other ways.

For example, it makes him durable enough to withstand the High-End when fighting him in the air. Likewise, it gives him the thrust to throw heat javelin at enemies.

Although Endeavor worked hard to surpass All Might, it’s no surprise that he fought for every advantage he could get.

Rappa is Overhaul’s solid “sword”

Rap there "sword" Overhaul's solidity

After being defeated by Overhaul, Rappa swore allegiance to the new Chisaki organization as its “sword”.

A brawler and noisy by nature, Rappa’s Quirk allows him to punch enemies with the speed and intensity of a real bullet. Therefore, Rappa is very interested in training his arms and shoulders so that they become as muscular as possible.

It made each of his impossibly fast punches so hard to resist that it even broke Kirishima in his “Ultimate Hardening” state.

However, Rappa’s below-average legs make him more disproportionate compared to other power-based characters.

Shigaraki’s physique has been enhanced through scientific experiments

Shigaraki's physique has been enhanced through scientific experiments

Enhanced beyond natural limits by Secret Doctor Garaki, Shigaraki is no longer the skinny, sickly teenager from Season 1.

Between strange upgrades and training with Gigantomachia, he honed his body so that every inch of his body was almost perfectly sculpted.

The upgraded version of Shigaraki’s body is essential because like One For All, All For One requires a possessor of a durable Superpower to contain its immense power.

Despite Shigaraki’s intense training, his body was still relatively small and tedious. He may possess the power to rival All Might, although his stature is an issue Garaki doesn’t think he’ll fix.

Muscular is worthy of its name

Muscular is worthy of its name

As the name suggests, Muscular is a muscular professional villain recruited by All For One and Shigaraki to attack the Heroes.

Despite being quite strong, Quirk allows him to control additional muscle fibers that increase his strength even further.

By concentrating excess mass in a certain area, Muscular pushed Midoriya to the absolute limit, forcing the young Hero to use more than one hundred percent of One For All to defeat the enemy, resulting in hands His was permanently scarred.

Prime Nomu fought All Might by himself

Prime Nomu fought All Might by himself

Prime Nomu is the first version of Nomu released. Designed specifically to counter All Might, he balances endurance with massive muscle.

This was shown during his battle with Eraserhead, when he easily overpowered the Hero using only biologically implanted muscles.

He doesn’t need a Quirk to overwhelm the pros with raw physicality. Such brutality is explained later in the work when the description of the secret behind the Nomu is revealed.

Since they were created from many corpses of Heroes and villains, it made sense to extract their most prominent advantages and discard everything else.

Rikiya is Overhaul’s heaviest henchman

Rikiya is Overhaul's heaviest henchman

Rikiya is Overhaul’s most athletic minion. His Quirk allows himself to draw energy from a nearby area to greatly strengthen his muscles.

At his highest limit, he easily and comfortably engages many Heroes.

Despite Rikiya’s loyalty to his master, it was not a love that came from two sides.

When Deku pushed Overhaul to the limit, he combined Rikiya with some of his smaller minions, using their massive bodies to become monstrous monsters.

Given Rikiya’s available size, his body contributed more to the flesh-and-blood monster than the rest of his subordinates combined.

All Might is the adorable Peace Symbol

All Might is the adorable Peace Symbol

As the name suggests, All Might’s greatest strength is his physical strength. Massively muscular from head to toe, his muscular build quickly became synonymous with what it meant to have a Hero-like appearance.

However, after the brutal and fierce battle with All For One, All Might’s body quickly collapsed.

The loss of power is so deadly that he needs to use One For All to maintain his original form artificially and temporarily.

However, this action of All Might is gambling with his body and the amount of time in subsequent uses also decreases.

Re-Destro uses tension to transform into a giant

Re-Destro uses tension to transform into a giant

Like All Might, Re-Destro’s body is artificially and temporarily enhanced by his Quirk.

By storing tension on his forehead and releasing it when needed, he can become a giant capable of creating large craters with a single punch.

Re-Destro’s raw physical prowess allows him to overwhelm Shigaraki for most of the fight regardless of how specialized his opponent is in close combat.

However, their battle eventually cost Re-Destro with his legs, forcing him to replace them with prosthetics.

His lower body is no longer as sturdy as before, as seen when Tokoyami broke his leg during the Heroes’ initial raid.

Gigantomachia is like a muscle that can move

Gigantomachia is like a muscle that can move

Gigantomachia is All For One’s secret weapon and the most massive character in the entire series.

Standing in front of a muscular wall, Mt. Lady couldn’t even slow his advance towards Shigaraki, let alone stop it.

There are many factors that make up Gigantomachia’s impressive body. In addition to being enhanced scientifically, he is also endowed with dozens of Quirks, all of which directly affect the physical strength of this large man.

If Gigantomachia were a little smarter, he might not find an opponent worthy of him.
