Anime New Gate has revealed a new key visual ahead of its April 13 release. Studios Yokohama Animation Lab and Cloud Hearts are making the series under the direction of Tamaki Nakatsu.
The cast of The New Gate anime includes:

The anime will adapt the light novel series written by Shinogi Kazanami and illustrated by Makai no Juumin (Episodes 1-9), KeG (Episodes 10-11) and Banpai Akira (Episodes 12 onwards). The light novel has currently published 21 volumes, while the illustrated manga adaptation by Yoshiyuki Miwa is currently in its 13th volume. The series’ title is stylized as THE NEW GATE.
One Peace Books licensed the manga in English, describing the plot of the first volume as: THE NEW GATE—an online game that turns into a life-or-death struggle for the player. Thanks to the brave efforts of Shin, the strongest of them all, the game ends and freedom for everyone seems within reach. But moments after Shin defeats the game’s final boss, he finds himself bathed in an unknown light and transported about 500 years into the future of the game’s world. Thrown from a simple glitched game into a strange new land, a young swordsman with unparalleled strength prepares to embark on a legendary journey!
