Studio Eclypse recently announced on their official X (formerly Twitter) account that a new trailer for their project will be released in May 2024. Berserk: The Black Swordsman Trailer comes with a new key visual titled “Day of the Eclypse.”
The indie studio revealed its plans in October 2023 to create a 2D adaptation of the neglected Berserk stories, starting from the ground up with pre-production already underway. They even shared a teaser trailer for X.
In an earlier tweet, Studio Eclypse revealed that the Berserk trailer and behind-the-scenes footage will be shown live at Otakufest in Saltillo, Mexico, scheduled to take place on May 18 and 19. They assured fans unable to attend that the trailer will also be uploaded to their social media accounts.

Additionally, Studio Eclypse is adapting the fan-made AoTnoRequiem manga into an anime titled “Attack on Titan: Requiem,” scheduled for release in fall 2024.
Berserk manga has a rich history of adaptations, including many anime series, films, and video games. The first anime in 1997 included the Golden Age arc but faced criticism for inconsistent animation quality.
In 2012, Studio 4°C released the “Berserk: The Golden Age Arc” trilogy with improved visuals but received backlash for its use of CGI animation. GEMBA and Millepensee's 2016-2017 anime series also faced criticism for relying too heavily on CGI and its rushed pacing.un
