Kodoani.com – Twin Engine streamed on Monday a new trailer for the second season of the television anime from the manga. Vinland Saga by Makoto Yukimura, revealed and previewed the ending theme song of the LMYK anime “Without Love”.
The second season of the anime will premiere on January 9 on Tokyo MX , BS11 and Gifu Broadcasting . The anime will also air on AT-X.
The anime will stream in Japan on Netflix and other services.
The returning voice cast includes:
Yūto Uemura as Thorfinn Kensho Ono as Canute Akio Ohtsuka as Thorkell Yoji Ueda as Leif Ericson
The new cast includes:
Shunsuke Takeuchi as Einar Mayumi Sako as Arnheid Fuminori Komatsu as Snake Yuu Hayashi as Olmar Taiten Kusunoki as Thorgil Hideaki Tezuka as Ketil Mugihito as Sverkel
The first season staff will return for the second season at MAPPA animation studio instead of Wit Studio. Shūhei Yabuta returns to direct the anime. Hiroshi Seko is again overseeing and writing the series’ scripts. Takahiko Abiru returns to design the characters. Yutaka Yamada composed the music.
The first season of the anime premiered in July 2019.
Yukimura launched the series in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2005, but Kodansha ported the series to Afternoon later that year. Yukimura began drawing the fourth and final part of the manga in November 2019. The series has more than 7 million copies in circulation.
