According to reports, at Nexters, the position of chairman of the board is no longer occupied by Ivan Tavrin. Two other high-profile figures are also gone.
In addition, two senior figures left the Nexters board, Igor Bukhman and Boris Gertsovsky. Gaming company Nexters has announced its past results, as well as upcoming changes to its board of directors. Some members who will resign from the board “for the sake of Nexters’ international development” will have to leave.
The company reported their sales hit $126 million in quarterly revenue, up 45% year-over-year. The company went public last year through SPAC at a valuation of $1.9 billion and acquired three mobile game companies in January 2022. However, its trading on Nasdaq was suspended earlier this year. In June, Nexters laid off 235 employees in various countries.

As part of the changes, Russian chief executive Ivan Tavrin will step down as chairman of the board. According to Nexters, he will no longer be involved in the management or administration of the company. The Board of Directors will elect a new chairman. Igor Bukhman and Boris Gertsovskiy also resigned as directors of the board.
Three new independent directors will join the board including Tal Shoham, co-founder and chairman of Tedooo; Marie Holive, senior advisor at Proteus International; and Olga Loskutova, Vice President of Brand and Product Marketing at Whirlpool EMEA.
In July, Nexters announced its intention to “relocate the majority of its key personnel located in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus to Cyprus, Armenia and several other countries”. A spokesperson for Nexters said that 200 employees are in the process of being relocated. It also said it plans to “dive the company of its subsidiaries based in Russia by transferring the game business in Russia to local management”.
