Nisekoi’s author draws One Piece ‘cover’ chapter

This year’s 38th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Monday that Nisekoi author Naoshi Komi will draw a ‘cover chapter’ for Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece manga. The chapter “VIvi no Bōken” (Vivi’s Adventures) will be the latest chapter in the ongoing “Cover Comic Project” for One Piece, and Shueisha will publish the chapter in the 39th issue of the magazine on August 31. .

The cover chapter of Komi’s “Vivi no Bōken” (Vivi’s Adventures) will be part of the Alabasta section, and will include the “famous scene” after the long war ends. The chapter will be 48 pages long including one coloring page.

Shueisha also revealed that a new chapter of the Shokugeki no Sanji manga from Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma authors Yūto Tsukuda, Shun Saeki, and Yuki Morisaki will premiere in the 40th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump on August 30. Additionally, a chapter of the One Piece Gakuen (One Piece Academy) manga. Sōhei Kōji ‘s manga will appear in the 41st issue of September 6 . The manga is usually serialized in Saikyō Jump .

Boichi (Dr. Stone, Origin, Sun-Ken Rock) previously drew the first cover chapter of the project in July 2020. Boichi’s one-shot is titled “Roronoa Zoro: Umi ni Chiru” (Fall Into the Ocean), and the series focuses on the fight between Zoro and Mihawk. This chapter has 46 pages including a center coloring page. Viz Media published the manga in English digitally.

Komi ended Nisekoi – Wrong Love in August 2016 and later published a manga series titled “Tokidoki” in October of that year. Shonen Jump published both Nisekoi and “Tokidoki” in English.

Nisekoi has adapted two television anime seasons. The anime’s first season premiered in Japan in January 2014 with 20 episodes, while the 12-episode second season premiered in Japan in April 2015. Crunchyroll streamed the first series, and Aniplex streamed the second series on Aniplex Channel, Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Daisuki Service. Aniplex released both anime series on Blu-ray Disc.
