DK player Nuguri commented that professional League of Legends matches had exhausted himself and could retire early.
During the mid-season transfer window, DWG KIA welcomed the return of their former Top Lane – Nuguri. The return of the World Championship 2022 champion is expected to help DK overcome the weaknesses in terms of lineups in the journey to compete with T1 and Gen.G Esports for the 2022 LCK Summer Championship.
However, up to now, Nuguri’s contribution is extremely clear, but DK’s problem is not only Nuguri’s solution. The positive side is that Top lane is no longer an easy position for DK to exploit compared to the previous Spring 2022.
But recently, in an interview with female reporter Ashley Kang, Nuguri revealed that she feels her professional playing time is running out.
He said: “Sometimes, I feel that life as a professional gamer is like exhausting. The way I see it, compared to other jobs, it is true that there is more time off, there is a time called offseason. However, in the league, the job is full-time.”
“It can depend on each person. But I can understand why many people feel exhausted, after they have been playing for a long time. Physically, mentally… I’ve been thinking a lot. I think you could also say I’m a person with fragile nerves.” Nuguri admitted.
Indeed, the psychological factor has always been an issue for Nuguri and for many pro players. Besides, having to try hard often, practicing a lot, living unscientifically also makes many players physically weak. Although now, this problem has been partially overcome, but it is still not completely and there are still cases where players have to rest or retire due to injuries.
But even so, it can be believed that Nuguri will not retire immediately. He will work with DK in the upcoming matches, for the title goal in both the LCK and the 2022 World Championship in San Francisco at the end of the year.
