Kodoani.com – Square Enix’s Manga UP website and app posted the first chapter of the manga “Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent The story of Bargello family“, adapted from Square Enix’s mobile RPG Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, on Tuesday. Shibatarō Nakamura is credited as the story writer and manga artist.
The prequel manga tells the story of Bargello’s encounters when he was a young man and not yet famous. Bargello, living in the town of Valore, accidentally saved a girl from being pursued by the witch Herminia. While helping, the guy discovered a mysterious ring on the girl’s hand, said to hold mysterious powers. After this event, Bargello and his comrades realized that their fate began to be linked to Herminia.
“Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent”, a prequel mobile RPG set in the same Orsterra continent as the original game, was launched for iOS and Android in October 2020 in Japan and globally in July 2022.
Initially, the game Octopath Traveler was released globally in July 2018 for Nintendo Switch, then appeared on PC via Steam in June 2019 and on Stadia in April 2020.
