Suzuka plays art dealer Paru in the 44th Doraemon movie on March 7
Kodoani.com – Production team of Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Esekai Monogatari (roughly translated: The Tale of Nobita's Picture World), the 44th film in the Doraemon franchise, it was revealed on Tuesday that Ōji Suzuka will appear as Paru, a mysterious art dealer in the land of Artoria. The film is scheduled to premiere in Japan on March 7, 2025.
The film's content revolves around the journey of Doraemon, Nobita and friends when they enter a painting and reach the world of medieval Europe. Here, he meets Claire and Milo, two children from the kingdom of Artoria, and a small winged demon named Chai. Together, they face a powerful dark force to claim a legendary gem.
The film is directed by Yukiyo Teramoto, familiar director of the Doraemon series, and the script is written by Satoshi Itō. Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Esekai Monogatari marks the 45th anniversary of the Doraemon cartoon's debut.
The previous film in the series, Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Chikyū Symphony (Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Earth Symphony), came out last March and reached No. 1 at the Japanese box office, selling 538,000 tickets and grossing 655,555,580 yen (about US$4.37 million) in its first weekend.
