The ending of Chapter 1088 reveals that the next manga will focus on the adventures of Luffy and his crew on Egghead Island. The last time the story showed developments on Egghead Island, we saw Vegapunk’s Stella body being captured by the traitor Egghead Island: York the Greed, one of Vegapunk’s Satellites.
York shot Shaka in the head and used the Seraphim to deactivate the other Satellites and some of the Straw Hats. On the other hand, Luffy and Zoro have teamed up with Lucci and Kaku, and are fighting the Seraphim.
The previous chapter shows that the Marines ships, containing one of the Five Elders, Saint Jaygarcia Saturn, and Admiral Kizaru along with other vice admirals and officers, have finally reached Egghead Island.
Now based on the information we have so far, we can make the following few predictions about One Piece Chap 1089:
Since Kizaru and Saturn have come to Egghead, they will take control of Seraphim because Seraphim obeys the authority of whoever is higher and there is no higher power than Saturn. It wouldn’t make much of a difference if the Marines took control of the Seraphim as York is now on their side. Luffy and Zoro can have short battles against Kizaru and Saturn. It will display the strength level of these four key characters. It will be interesting to see if Saturn and Kizaru’s arrival at Egghead changes the alliance between Luffy and Zoro, Lucci and Kaku. Saturn’s history with Vegapunk will be revealed. Gorosei called Vegapunk an old friend in the previous Chapter and it will be interesting to see their equation in previous years. One character, be it Straw Hat or Stussy, will stop York from killing Vegapunk.
