As one of the longest running Anime series, One Piece has introduced to the audience a lot of characters. The work has aired over a thousand episodes and continues to be produced. The plot is divided into several Arcs with different locations and events.
Because of the huge number, there are quite a few characters who never returned after their Arc ended. Although they play an important role in their film, their actions do not affect too much of the overall storyline.
So it’s understandable why even some of the best characters only appear once. The following article by VietOtaku will help the audience recall their favorite characters in the previous Arcs of One Piece.

Enel
Enel was once the ruler of the heavenly island of Skypiea. He came here after destroying his entire home country. Enel ate the Logia-type Goro Goro no Mi Devil Fruit. Thanks to that, he can control thunder at will.
In addition to the Devil Fruit, Enel can also use Observation Haki, which the Skypieans call Mantra. However, his Haki is so powerful that he can track everything that happens in Skypiea.
Enel was so egotistical that he didn’t care about killing the entire population of a country. After being defeated by Luffy, Enel traveled to the moon. Therefore, there is no reason for this character to return to the work.
Charlotte Katakuri
Charlotte Katakuri is one of the three Sweet Commanders of the Big Mom Pirates. He owns Mochi Mochi no Mi. A Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to create and manipulate Mochi.
Unlike most characters, Katakuri is not dependent on his Devil Fruit powers. Instead, he practiced a lot to take his Observation Haki to the next level.
Katakuri ta is one of the few characters that can see into the near future to avoid attacks and counter attacks. What sets Katakuri apart from most of Luffy’s enemies is his respect for the Straw Hat captain.
Viper
It would be no exaggeration to call Wiper one of the best supporting characters in the work. Appearing in the Skypiea Arc, Wiper is a descendant of the legendary Shandian warrior Kalgara.
Therefore, he is worthy of the position of leader of the Shandian warriors. Together they fought to regain their homeland of Upper Yard from Enel.
While the other supporting characters often allied with the Straw Hats, Wiper did not. In fact, he clashed with the Straw Hats several times before siding with them.
Wiper’s most prized qualities are resilience and courage. Although he knew that he was not capable, he still dared to face someone as strong as Enel.
Joz
Jozu is the Captain of Division 3 of the Whitebeard Pirates. He possesses the Kira Kira no Mi Devil Fruit that allows him to turn his body into a diamond. Jozu has appeared in a few other episodes in addition to a major role in the Marineford Arc.
At Marine Headquarters, Jozu showed his mettle when he clashed with the likes of Crocodile, Aokiji, and Mihawk. Sadly, despite all the efforts of Jozu and the rest of the crew, they still couldn’t save Ace.
After the Battle of the Summit, Jozu and the rest of the Whitebeard Pirates never reappeared.
Mont Blanc Cricket
Mont Blanc Cricket first appeared in the Jaya Arc. He is a descendant of Mont Blanc Noland, who discovered the Golden City. Cricket has to wait a long time to have the opportunity to confirm that the ancestors’ words are true.
In the Skypiea Arc, the moment Luffy rang the golden bell loudly made Cricket burst into tears. Those were tears of happiness when the Straw Hat helped him prove Noland wasn’t lying. After that, this character began to pursue a new goal.
White beard
Whitebeard held the title of “strongest man in the world” before Roger became the Pirate King. Originally, Whitebeard was a member of the Rocks Pirates, but he and the others left the crew after the events of God Valley.
Then he decided to form his own pirate crew. Soon, Whitebeard and his crew became one of the most notorious pirates in the world.
All members of the 16 fleets of the Whitebeard Pirates were present at Marineford to rescue Ace from execution. Unfortunately, the navy won in the last minutes.
After his death, Whitebeard appeared in several episodes and in Oden’s flashbacks in the Wano Arc. However, his official involvement in the plot is Arc Marineford.
Cavendish
Cavendish was once a Supernova and the captain of the American Mieu Pirates. Before setting sail, Cavendish served as Prince of the Bourgeois Kingdom but was exiled.
He appeared in the Dressrosa Arc at the arena and participated in the battle with the Donquixote Pirates. By the end of the Arc, Cavendish had drunk his oath and became the captain of the number 1 battleship of the Straw Hat Fleet led by Luffy.
Cavendish is a rather unique character as he suffers from multiple personality disorder. Whenever Cavendish fell asleep, Hakuba’s belligerent personality would take control of his body.
It’s a pity that he never appeared again, but only appeared in the cover stories of Manga One Piece.
Senor Pink
Senor Pink is a member of the Donquixote clan. In the past, Senor Pink cheated on his wife for a long time. He hides the fact that he is a pirate and then marries her.
Sadly, his wife fell into a deep depression when she lost her child and learned the truth about Senor Pink. Because of his guilt, he tried his best to make her laugh but always failed until he decided to wear a baby outfit.
Even after her death, he continued to wear it despite being ridiculed by others and redeemed himself by helping those in need.
With a story that is both reprehensible and pitiful, this character receives a lot of sympathy from the audience and is considered one of the best supporting characters in the work.
