Summary
The weevil may be a clone created using Whitebeard's DNA, making him one of the strongest individuals in One Piece. Ms. Buckin was connected to Whitebeard and had the ability to clone him when she was a member of MADS. The plot of Pirate Rocks hints at a relationship between Whitebeard and Buckin, changing the perception of Weevil's origins.
A piece finally begins to explain the connection between one of its mysterious characters, WeevilsAnd White beard, one of the strongest legendary pirates along with Roger and Kaido. Since their first appearance, Weevil and his “mother” Bakkin have claimed to be Whitebeard's son and his ex-lover, respectively. Although no one believed them at the time, recent revelations suggest that Bakkin was indeed telling the truth, at least in part.
Edward Weevil is one of the strangest mysteries in One Piece. Bakkin's statements seem very strange considering Weevil's monstrous appearance, limited intelligence, and the fact that the woman is clearly trying to take advantage of Whitebeard's death to claim her inheritance. These two characters only appear twice in the manga, so very little is known about them.
Weevil has been shown to be incredibly powerful, and his power was enough to earn him a position among the Seven Lords of the Sea, before that group was abolished by the World Government. On the other hand, Bakkin appears as a petite but cruel old woman who manipulates the not-so-bright Weevil to do her bidding.
“Bakkin” is actually Miss Buckingham of The Rocks Pirates
Stussy reveals Miss Buckin's true identity
One Piece chapter #1072 revealed a shocking secret that will change readers' perception of Weevil and his mother forever. Stussy, an agent of the secret World Government assassin group known as CP0, reveals herself as a traitor by attacking her supposed companion Kaku. The caption in the manga describes Stussy as a clone of Miss Buckingham Stussy of Pirate Rocks and the first successful clone created by the MADS science team. Fans immediately connected and realized that “Bakkin” can also be transliterated as “Buckin” from Japaneseproving that the old woman is actually Whitebeard's old friend.
In chapter #909, Marco talked about Buckin and confirmed that she was part of Whitebeard's pirate crew 40 years ago. Fans know that 40 years before current events, Whitebeard was a member of the Rocks Pirates, one of the most powerful and dangerous pirate crews to ever roam the seas, including the future Emperors. Kaido and Big Mom hybrid. With chapter #1072 confirming that Miss Buckingham is one of the Rocks, the only thing left to understand is whether Weevil is truly Whitebeard's son or not. The most reasonable explanation is that Weevil is actually a partially successful clone of Whitebeard.
Weevil may be a failed clone of Whitebeard
The cover story of chapter #1070, along with other clues scattered throughout the story, implies that Miss Buckingham Stussy is also a member of MADS, a group of scientists who, among other fields, have attempted to Experiment with cloning technology. Stussy is Ms. Buckingham's clone so she's obviously involved in that particular project.
Its then maybe Buckin stole Whitebeard's DNA sample during their time in the Rocks Pirates, and later used it to create Weevil. However, this experiment did not go as expected, as evidenced by Weevil's stitched appearance and his childish behavior. After all, Dr. Vegapunk said that increasing the growth rate of a clone would cause obstacles and limitations, and this may be what happened to the Weevil.
According to everything that Eiichiro Oda has let happen until now, Weevil will be the first attempt at creating Seraphim, the strongest beings in the One Piece world, advanced clones created using DNA of the strongest pirates. Vegapunk just perfected this process in the series, but Miss Buckingham must have pioneered it when she joined MADS after the Rocks Pirates disbanded. This not only confirms that Weevil is indeed related to Whitebeard (as his clone, not his son), but also confirms that he may be one of the most powerful individuals. in the world of One Piece.
One Piece hints at the relationship between Whitebeard and Buckin
Flashbacks to Spirit Valley suggest a small chance that Weevil could be Whitebeard's true Son
Just as fans dismissed any possibility that Weevil could actually be Whitebeard's son, chapter #1096 revealed a curious look at the Rocks Pirates during the God Valley Incident. While it hasn't been revealed exactly what happened 38 years ago, a brief flashback revealed both Miss Buckin and Whitebeard were heading towards God's Valley. Miss Buckin is seen clinging to Whitebeard's back, suggesting a possible relationship between the two.
The God Valley flashback also confirms Ms. Buckin is the spitting image of her adorable Stussy doppelganger, which suggests that a romance between her and Whitebeard isn't entirely far-fetched. After all, Whitebeard always wanted a familyand it's unreasonable to suggest that he didn't try to start a literal job before he discovered his crew could be his adopted family.
That said, Weevil is said to be thirty-five years old, which means he would have to have been conceived well after the God Valley Incident and the breakup of the Rocks Pirates. Fortunately, the timeline of supporting events is very favorable for the age of the Weevil. According to chapter #962, the remaining members of The Rocks Pirates, including Whitebeard, started their own pirate crew 33 years ago, which is five years after the God Valley Incident. Technically, this would give Whitebeard plenty of time to spend with Miss Buckin and maybe even Weevil during the first two years of his life.
Overall, regardless Weevils actually White beardhis son or just a clone of him, the Final Saga could see his character cause more mayhem in A piece. Miss Buckin's true goals remain unclear as do the true extent of Weevil's powers and abilities. The Egghead arc would have been the perfect opportunity to expose the truth, but unfortunately, the arrival of the Five Elders pushed the matter aside indefinitely. Only time will tell what plans Eiichiro Oda has for Weevil and whether this intriguing clone concept can come back even bigger.
