Leak Warning for One Piece #1090!
Deep into the Egghead Island arc, A piece is making major hints that the biggest villains in its final story, the Gorosei (Five Elders) aren’t actually human. This kind of big turning point would make the final confrontation between Luffy and these villains even more interesting while also overturning the lore of the series. Of course, fans shouldn’t be too surprised by the magnitude of this revelation as Eiichiro Oda has dropped many clues that point to otherworldly origins for his massive villains.
In chapter #1090, translated by Stephen Paul, one of the Five Elders, Jaygarcia Saturn, tells his Marine subordinates not to worry about human casualties in the upcoming battle with the Straw Hats and Vegapunk, for Humans are like insects. After all, “they” can always spawn and create more people to replace the lost ones. This callous statement shocks listeners, but the disgust Saturn feels towards humans and the use of the pronoun “they” imply that Saturn and his companion Gorosei are not human. Of course, this could just be the contempt for the masses coming from rulers who consider themselves better than those they rule, but it could also be a hint about the true nature of the Five Elders.
One Piece provides more evidence Elders could be aliens
One Piece has mentioned many non-human races such as Fish-Man and Moon-Man, so the possibility that the Elders are not human is not as absurd as one might think. Additionally, the series also deals with aliens, with Enel traveling to the moon and meeting its inhabitants. With each Elder in One Piece’s name being directly associated with a celestial body and the translation of their name Gorosei literally meaning “five elderly planets”, this could imply that they are from the stars. Also, their leader Imu’s ancient weapons seem to shoot out from the sky, implying that they may have a flying ship that can bring them to Earth from the outside.
If the Elders were aliens, that would be a pretty big shift in One Piece lore, but in line with recent sci-fi revelations about the Great Kingdom. It could also be implied that the end of the Empty Century may have been because the advanced civilization during that time came into contact with a hostile alien race. Devil Fruits may even be related to this alien race just like Naruto’s Chakra powers are related to aliens. Unfortunately, this also has the potential to diminish the impact of some of One Piece’s most important themes. The series often deals with how cruelly humans can treat each other, especially when they are enabled by social power systems and the revelation that aliens are behind the institution. The most oppressive in the world would undermine this a bit.
One Piece will soon reveal more about the five elders
This dialogue of Saturn does not at all confirm that the Elders are indeed aliens, but it does provide a solid piece of evidence for that theory. Given how brilliantly Oda has done the rest of the series, if it is finally confirmed that the Elders are aliens it will certainly be seamlessly integrated into the themes. and the overall plot of the story, even though it may seem eccentric. As Saturn and the rest of the mighty Gorosei began to play an even greater role in A pieceMore potential evidence for this theory may be revealed.
