One Piece: Seven characters can die in the final battle

The Wano arc marked the end of the events in the Yonko Saga after the Timeskip. Therefore, Manga One Piece will officially enter the final stage and show Luffy’s important steps to find Laugh Tale.

One Piece usually doesn’t have many deaths. So far only a few main characters have died in battle like Izo, Shutenmaru or Pedro in the Yonko saga. However, it is likely that the audience will witness more sacrifices in the final battle.

Since this is the end of the work, the death of some important characters is inevitable. It can be a source of motivation to strengthen the heroes or pay the price for the crimes of the villains.

Let’s find out the characters who are likely to be removed from the plot by the author Oda through the article of VietOtaku.

Maybe you are interested:

Black beard

Black beard

Since his first appearance in the Jaya Arc, Marshall D. Teach has become the cult villain of One Piece.

His immediate actions sparked the Battle of the Summit that shook the world. The Marineford Arc saw the passing of the Whitebeard Yonko and Portgas D. Ace, the son of the Pirate King.

Blackbeard was the one who played an important role in the final battle as the antagonist to Monkey D. Luffy. Although the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates usually doesn’t finish off his opponent, Teach is a different story.

If he could defeat Blackbeard, he could make him pay the ultimate price for what he did to his brother and other innocent people.

Sabo

Sabo

Sabo is a character first introduced in the latter part of the Marineford Arc. Through flashback, the audience learns about Portgas D. Ace and Monkey D. Luffy’s childhood in the East Sea.

Thanks to that, fans were surprised with the appearance of Sabo, Luffy’s second brother. Although the events that followed led everyone to believe that he was dead, Sabo eventually returned in the Dressrosa Arc

During his exile, Sabo became the Chief of Staff of the Revolutionary Army, a position in authority second only to Monkey D. Dragon.

Sabo is said to have died during the Reverie while trying to rescue former Shichibukai Bartholomew Kuma from Mariejois. However, recent chapters of Manga One Piece have confirmed he is alive.

However, Sabo’s life was once again threatened when Im-sama ordered the destruction of the island where he was located. Since then, information about this character has not been revealed.

Monkey D. Dragon

Monkey D. Dragon

Monkey D. Dragon is the father of One Piece’s main character, Monkey D. Luffy. He is also the son of Hero of the Navy Monkey D. Garp. Dragon is the leader of the Revolutionary Army and one of the most wanted by the Government.

Through the above information, it can be seen that this is a very mysterious man. The fact that the Revolutionary Army infiltrated the Mariejois Sanctuary to save Bartholomew Kuma was a declaration of war against the Celestial Dragons and the World Government.

This means that it is only a matter of time before Dragon officially launches an all-out battle. He will most likely die to accomplish his goal and ensure victory for the righteous side.

Usopp

Usopp

Usopp is a member of the Straw Hat Pirates and serves as the gunner on the ship. He was one of the first members Luffy invited to join the crew while in the East Sea. Since then, Usopp has always accompanied Luffy despite the two having conflicts and disagreements.

During the Wano Arc, Usopp was close to death several times. Most recently he was brutally attacked fighting with two Beasts Pirates commanders, Ulti and Page One.

Usopp’s dream is to become a great warrior of the sea. However, this contradicts his shy nature. Therefore, it is very likely that Usopp must exchange his life to realize his dream.

A marginal factor to support this hypothesis is the number representing Usopp. He is associated with number 4 because he is the 4th member to join the gang. According to the Eastern concept, it is the number that symbolizes death.

Akainu

Akainu

Sakazuki is also known by the nickname Akainu. This character is holding the position of the new Admiral of the Navy after Sengoku retires. He competed for the title with Admiral Aokiji at Punk Hazard.

Akainu is a cold and heartless person. Absolute justice is what this character pursues. He is so ruthless that he does not mind killing innocent people if they do not want to. Ohara is the best example when Akainu directly destroys civilian ships.

Most notably in the Battle of the Peak at Marineford, he was the one to finish off Portgas D. Ace. After being promoted to Admiral of the Sea, Akainu moved the navy’s headquarters to the New World to handle the successive crises there.

The final battle between the World Government and the opposing factions is definitely inevitable no matter what Akainu does to prevent it. The audience wouldn’t be too surprised if someone killed Akainu because of the bad things he did.

Shanks

Shanks

Red-Haired Shanks is one of the Yonko of the Sea. That helps him become an extremely famous pirate in the One Piece world. Shanks also inspired Luffy to become the Pirate King and gave him the Straw Hat.

Shanks has three large scars on his face. This could be a prediction of death for this character. Despite being at the level of the Yonko, he was injured in the clash with Blackbeard.

This led many fans to believe that Shanks would die at the hands of Blackbeard in the final battle.

Im-sama

Im-sama

Im-sama is One Piece’s most mysterious character as it was only recently introduced in the Reverie Arc. He could blatantly sit on the empty Throne in Mariejois Sanctuary and be the only one of the Five Elders to submit to.

This proves that this is the most powerful figure within the World Government or even the whole world. Therefore, his true face and strength will be revealed before the final battle.

For the world to be liberated from the Government’s control, perhaps Im-sama will have to die at the hands of the Revolutionary Army or the Joy Boy of the new age, Straw Hat Luffy.
