However, there are some characters who are so skeptical or obsessive about something that it affects their behavior and thinking in life.

Perona is the embodiment of negativity
Perona’s Devil Fruit reflects the negativity of her personality. Perona is often afraid of what her opponents might do to her. This character even lost consciousness because of fear of Usopp’s threatening attack.

When Akainu tells Squard that Whitebeard intends to betray his allies, the character shows great fear. During the battle at Marineford, he trusted his enemies and attacked the Godfather in hopes of ending his plot before it was too late.
Squard then realizes that Whitebeard didn’t have that intention and realizes that he has been trapped by the Marines. However, that attack left Whitebeard with a very deep stab wound in the chest and the enemy did not pass up the opportunity to widen his wound.
It reduced Whitebeard’s ability to fight and was partly responsible for the Yonko’s death.
Gecko Moria is a victim of despair
At one point, Gecko Moria was a pirate of extraordinary strength that emerged in the New World like a hurricane. However, after his clash with Kaido, he completely lost the will to fight.
This is reflected from Moria’s overweight and deformed appearance to his loss of the ability to use Haki. So he spent years kidnapping innocent people and building an army of zombies in the Florian Triangle.
Perhaps he is the only Shichibukai to show sluggishness and passivity. Moria’s string of failures resulted in the character being removed by the World Government.
Bege is a prudent strategist

Kaido longing for a great death
Kaido’s obsession with death proves that he always has low self-esteem. Ever since his appearance, he has fantasized about dying as great as Roger and Whitebeard without realizing their sacrifices are what really mattered.
Despite his ambition, Kaido spends most of his time sad and drunk. He was even absent on the anniversary of the Beasts Pirates to reflect on himself.
Kaido is not interested in being the world ruler. Instead he viewed the much-admired death as the consummation of one’s life.
Galdino becomes pessimistic after the Little Garden Arc
Initially, Galdino was a confident agent of Baroque Works who could defeat two giants with a bounty of 100 million berries each. However, Luffy humiliated him at Little Garden and gradually became pessimistic.
Luckily surviving Crocodile’s decision to kill him, Galdino quickly realized that he was still weak compared to the other members of the organization.
When he and Buggy escaped from Impel Down, Galdino was always scared when he was discovered. He prefers to be in a commanding role rather than a commander. However, Galdino performed well in assisting Luffy against Warden Magellan.
Law tends to be cynical and stoic
Having nearly lost her life after being poisoned with amber lead, Trafalgar Law quickly accepted the harsh reality of life.
Witnessing Corazon’s death and Doflamingo’s rule over Dressrosa made him question whether the bad guys were really being punished for their crimes.
In many cases such as the battle with Doflamingo or the raid on Onigashima, Law was always ready to accept death. He often relies on the ability of each member and calculates the risks in the plan to come up with the best plan

Usopp is negative in all situations
Usopp is the smartest member of the Straw Hats. Usopp’s skepticism saved his life in the Thriller Bark Arc. Perona’s ghosts do not affect him because Usopp’s nature is very negative.
Although he hates fighting and tries to avoid it, Usopp still puts the group’s plans above his own interests when he has no other choice. With the goal of becoming a brave warrior of the sea, he always tries to get Luffy and his teammates out of danger.
