The tweet went viral on December 8 claiming to leak information about the 3rd season’s studio
Kodoani.com – Anime official Twitter account One-Punch Man posted announcements in English and Japanese last Friday, warning fans of misinformation on social media. The tweet in English reads: “This is the only official Twitter account of the ‘One-Punch Man’ anime. Please don’t be fooled by unofficial information from other accounts. be notified from this account when the time comes.”
This announcement comes after rumors online about which animation studios will produce the anime’s third season. On December 8, a self-described leak account announced in a viral tweet that MAPPA would produce a third installment.
The 12-episode first anime season by Madhouse and directed by Shingo Natsume based on ONE and Yūsuke Murata’s One-Punch Man manga aired in Japan from October to December 2015. The second season began with a show television special in April 2019, followed by the first episode airing a week later. Chikara Sakurai (Magimoji Rurumo, Naruto Shippūden episode director) replaced Shingo Natsume to direct the series at JC Staff.
