Saitama recently developed a time travel technique in One-Punch Man, but it turns out it has a serious drawback.
Kodoani.com – Typical Superhero of One-Punch Man delivered the strongest and strongest moves in the series, but his latest has broken even his previous records. It allows Saitama to make the impossible possible, although it turns out this move doesn’t have the downsides as originally anticipated. Chapter 167 shows exactly what happens when Saitama uses his newly learned Zero Punch technique.
Garo and Saitama may have faced each other recently, but they quickly changed their attitude after the battle ended. The heroic hunter realizes the futility and recklessness of his actions and asks for a favor: copy his abilities, granting him the power of God without borrowing the person’s power. . Saitama did and mastered it before Garo died, leading to Bald Cape’s recent creation of his time-traveling ultimate.
After copying Garo, time immediately began to flow backwards for Saitama. He watches as events pass him in reverse, and throws a punch when he sees Garo trying to terrorize the heroes. Interestingly, his punch landed and knocked the Hero Hunter back to normal. The same blow destroyed the entire future timeline Saitama came from, resulting in him being thrown back into his past body. However, he doesn’t go back in time – he goes back to the core of the future Genos and a dangling will tree.
Receiving Saitama’s punch in the future also causes Garo to stoop and be defeated; it also manages to dislodge his divine powers allowing the other heroes to rally. While Garo received their anger, Saitama and Genos were chatting. Saitama presents the core he is holding to Genos, stating that he has no recollection of how he obtained it. Of course, the same is true of the torn area on his crotch. Even when Genos regained his memories from the core, Saitama still couldn’t remember the events he experienced in the future.
Saitama does not recall the feats he achieved before traveling back in time indicating his memory of those events only lasted for a few moments. It is not yet clear whether the memories simply lie dormant in his subconscious or if they are gone forever. Whatever the case may be, Saitama can no longer use his Zero Punch in his current state in One-Punch Man.
There is also the question of Saitama’s current strength level. Given that he can destroy the law of cause and effect and send the core of future Genos back to the past, it’s possible that his current strength is the same as his future strength. But the biggest disappointment with Saitama’s amnesia is that it cancels out all of the character development he has achieved and shown. After all, the future Saitama experienced the worst-case scenario – witnessing Genos being killed and failing to save the world.
