Fans are finally getting to see what the new movie, The Holy Kingdom, has in store with the release of the first teaser key image.

Kodoani.com – Image shows protagonist Ainz Ooal Gown menacing in the background. The new film was announced last May, but many details about the project, including the creative team, the voice actors for the characters, and the release date are yet to be confirmed. Based on the title, many have speculated that The Holy Kingdom will adapt the spinoff “The Paladin of the Holy Kingdom” from the light novel series, in which Roble Holy Kingdom is invaded by a group of demihumans.

Series creator Kugane Maruyama first published Overlord independently online before it was acquired by Enterbrain, a Kadokawa affiliate. A total of 16 light novels have been released as of July 2012, and the series has enjoyed considerable financial success with over seven million copies in circulation worldwide. Celebrating Overlord’s 10th anniversary, Maruyama explained on social media his feelings about the story’s popularity and thanked his avid fans and readers, writing: “I will continue to do our best to bring even better things in the future!”

Overlord, an isekai series set in a dark fantasy world, tells the story of a veteran video gamer named Momonga who is passionate about YGGDRASIL, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game. When chang2 adamantly refuses to log out as the game is scheduled to close permanently, Momonga finds himself trapped in YGGDRASIL with its NPCs, who are beginning to develop the abilities of a living character. . Unable to return to his life in the real world, the gamer decides to assume the identity of his character, Ainz Ooal Gown, and sets out to see if any other players are trapped.

The first season of the anime adaptation by studio Madhouse (The Vampire Dies in No Time) premiered in July 2015, and the fourth season of Overlord is now in Crunchyroll’s summer lineup. Satoshi Hino (Fire Force) plays Ainz alongside Emiri Kato (Black Butler) as Aura Bella Fiora and Masayuki Katou (Log Horizon) as Demiurge. Although Hino is likely to voice Ainz again in the new film, there has been no official announcement regarding the role yet.

For those who want to get a glimpse of what could happen in Overlord: The Holy Kingdom Before the movie came out, Maruyama’s light novels were published in Vietnam.
