What happened in Pokémon Horizons Episode #37?
Episode #37 of Pokémon Horizons saw the Rising Volt Tacklers called to work, helping a desert excavation team unearth some ruins. The workers there were having problems with nearby Sandile, Krokorok, and Krookodile damaging their machines, to the point where they had to prepare to hunt for Pokémon. While exploring the ruins, Roy and Fuecoco attempted to befriend these wild Pokémon through song, but when excavations restarted, the Pokémon returned to the surface to attack.
Roy and Fuecoco use the power of song to bring peace, proving that wild Pokémon are merely disrupted from their natural habitat. Fuecoco even learns the new move Disarming Voice, which helps defuse the situation. An agreement was made between the excavation team and the wild Pokémon, and the Airship sailed. However, the crew was ultimately not paid for the work due to the circumstances.
Pokémon Horizons Episode #38 Brings forth a lone Tandemau
The preview for episode #38 shows Mollie and Riko discovering Tandemaus, a new Pokémon from Scarlet and Violet anime debut. However, Tandemaus is composed of pairs and this Tandemaus is alone. Riko’s Hatenna recognizes its suffering so it seems they are trying to help it reunite with its mate. Hopefully the episode will provide a bit more insight into Mollie’s character, as she hasn’t been in much focus since episode 11, where she helped treat Pokémon victims of the wildfire in Arboliva forest.
This is another fairly low-stakes episode, following episodes #35, #36 and #37, as the airship continues on its way back to Paldea. Fans may be starting to lose patience to get back to the main storyline at this point, as they’ve been promised an answer to Terapagos that’s supposedly waiting for them on Paldea. Pokémon Horizon has carefully balanced the plot twists with the story-of-the-week adventures, and it’s time for the pendulum to start swinging back towards the plot.
