Rent-A-Girlfriend manga creator celebrates Ruka’s birthday with her swimsuit illustration
As fans know, today August 26 is the birthday of Ruka Sarashina, one of the main female characters in Reiji Miyajima’s romantic comedy manga Rent-A-Girlfriend. To celebrate her birthday, the manga creator said “Happy birthday, Ruka!!” and posted a special illustration of her in a swimsuit eating watermelon on his official Twitter account. Fans are now rejoicing and together wished her a happy birthday with the hashtag #更科瑠夏生誕祭 2021
The manga has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine since July 2017, and its latest 22nd tankobon volume, featuring none other than Ruka on the cover, was released in Japan on the 17th. August 2021. The anime television adaptation was released in 12 episodes from July to September 2020. Due to its popularity, a second season was made to air in 2022.
