Real life idol group @onefive plays the 4 members of ChamJam in the story
Kodoani.com – Official website for the live-action manga series If My Favourite Pop Idol Made it to the Budokan, I would Die (Oshi ga Budōkan Ittekuretara Shinu) revealed more cast and the show’s October 8 premiere date on Tuesday.
Four of the new actors are members of the real-life idol group @onefive, and all seven new actors play members of the idol group ChamJam in the show’s story. In the story, ChamJam is a local underground idol group operating in Okayama, and protagonist Eripiyo is very supportive of ChamJam member Maina Ichii.

As previously announced, Sayuri Matsumura (pictured below) will play the main character Eripiyo.
The series will premiere on TV Asahi on October 8 and on ABC on October 9.
Kentaro Otani (live-action Black Butler, Nana), Hitomi Kitagawa, and Akihiko Takaishi are directing the series. Kumiko Motoyama is writing the script. Moe Hyūga will be composing the music.
The manga’s humorous story revolves around a girl named “Eripiyo”, an extreme idol fan. She is extremely enthusiastic about Maina, the shy and shortest member of the underworld idol group Cham Jam performing in Okayama Prefecture. She was so in love with Maina during a particular performance, that she had a heavy nosebleed. Eri will continue to devote herself to Maina until the day she can perform at Budōkan (a major performance venue in Tokyo).
Hirao launched the series in Tokuma Shoten’s Monthly Comic Ryū magazine in 2015. The series was ranked among the top 20 manga for male readers in the Kono Manga ga Sugoi manga guidebook series. Takarajimasha ! (This Manga Is Amazing!) In 2016. The manga has reached over 1 million cumulative copies released.
The manga inspired a television anime that premiered in January 2020.
