The release time for the fun-filled title Rhythm Sprout is revealed in a brand new trailer, highlighting some exciting features.
Rhythm Sprout will launch in early 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Indie game publisher TinyBuild shared a new trailer for their new game Rhythm Sprout which also includes details on its release time, features and modes. The game was revealed in April for the Nintendo Switch, where players will take on the role of an onion sprout who must defend their homeland from an invader known as the King Sugar Daddy. Like other rhythm games, such as Muse Dash or the Taiko no Tatsujin series, the player must tap to the beat at the same time as the music.
In Rhythm Sprout the player must not only move and dodge in time to the music, but also attack enemies when they appear. With the game’s emphasis on vegetables and a food theme, there are lots of cute and colorful visuals that enhance the game’s premise. This includes some food-themed boss battles in this edible rhythm game.
This trailer reveals that the game will be released in the first quarter of 2023 and can be put on the Steam favorites list. It also revealed the platforms the game is aiming for, including Xbox and PlayStation along with the previously announced Switch version. The trailer also notes that a free demo of Rhythm Sprout will be available for fans to try now.
The demo for Rhythm Sprout appears to be PC-only for now, with a story that will only be told in the demo. This will likely just give players a taste of what to expect from the story in terms of rhythms, characters, and more. The trailer also highlights some of the modes that can be played through the game, adding to the variety of gameplay styles and how it can mix things up for the casual player. This includes Turbo Mode, Mirror Mode, Shuffle, and Totally Random mode, with the last mode serving as the mask the input player needs until the very last moments.
All the stages previously featured in Steam Next Fest are included in this demo, along with two brand new stages and cutscenes. There are a total of five levels in this demo, with all of them available to play alongside the aforementioned unique modes. Rhythm Sprout will also feature a number of re-customized levels and modifiers that will add additional challenges and replayability, giving players the chance to unlock a variety of skins for armor and weapons.
