Kodoani.com – Action RPG “Sword Art Online: Last Recollection‘ of Bandai Namco Entertainment announced on Monday that Risae Matsuda will replace Sayaka Kanda as the character Yuna. Matsuda will play Yuna’s voice in the game, while Kanda’s songs will remain unchanged.
Sayaka Kanda played Yuna in two films “Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale” and “Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld Part 2” before her death in December 2021. Kanda’s loss has left sadness for the fan community and the project.
The game “Sword Art Online: Last Recollection” is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on October 6. The game will launch in Japan on October 5. October. The game section will contain original playable characters inspired by previous Sword Art Online games.
The game will feature its own version of the “War of Underworld,” which is different from the light novel or anime series. The development team promises that the game will have the largest list of characters. ReoNa will return to perform the game’s theme song titled “VITA.”
