Kodoani.com – Sony Interactive Entertainment and Koei Tecmo Games’ Team Ninja studio have revealed a new trailer for the game Rise of the Ronin during The Game Awards event on Thursday. The trailer reveals the game’s release date of March 22.
Rise of the Ronin takes place in Japan in 1863, during the Bakumatsu period that marked the end of the Tokugawa Shogunate. In the game, the player takes on the role of a Ronin, a warrior freed from all masters and constraints, fighting to create a new era for Japan. The game promises to deliver an action experience focusing on immersive combat.
Development of Rise of the Ronin began seven years ago according to director and president of Team Ninja, Fumihiko Yasuda.
Studio Team Ninja is famous for the Ninja Gaiden video game series. Their latest title is Nioh: Wo Long, released for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on March 3.
