If this rumor is true, the VCS tournament will have a completely new look and surprise the League of Legends community in the 2023 season.
During the past time, there have been many rumors about Garena assigning VNG to take over League of Legends. Even more people believe this because recently, the publisher of LoL Vietnam has continuously launched unprecedented “huge” events and promotions.
Until recently, there were rumors that the VCS tournament would not be hosted by Garena or broadcast on VETV anymore, instead, VCS would be taken over by Mineski Global and 500Bros Studio.
500Bros is rumored to be broadcasting VCS instead of VETV from the 2023 season.
Accordingly, many fans commented that this rumor was very “logical”. Because other Riot Games titles in Vietnam such as Valorant or Wild Rift are also published by VNG, and the tournaments of these games are also broadcast by 500Bros Studio.
League of Legends is rumored to be taken over by VNG in the near future.
Currently, most of the League of Legends editors at VETV are working as collaborators, so if the VCS is broadcast by 500Bros Studio, the personnel transfer will not be difficult or troublesome. In addition, there are also some rumors about the VCS tournament will increase the number from 8 to 10 teams, along with the VCSB will be more invested in size.
Mr. Tran Anh Dung alluded that 500Bros’ takeover of VCS was “bullshit news”.
However, after the rumor was spread widely in the Vietnamese gaming community, the founder and COO of 500Bros Studio – Tran Anh Dung denied this rumor: “All nonsense and nonsense… VCS is Vietnam Counter-Strike?”
Therefore, some League of Legends fans think that it is unlikely that VCS will be broadcast by “500 brothers”.
